NEW Better Balance | The Importance of Stretching
Keeping our muscles flexible and our joints mobile is critical to better balance. If your muscles are tight, then your joints feel tight. When your joints feel tight, you feel less stable on your feet. Like all things in life, our approach to better balance, should be a balanced approach. Meaning, it's important to strengthen your core stability muscles, to practice standing on one foot, and to walk often. But, it is equally important to make sure we maintain range of motion and mobility in our joints, being our bodies both strength and stability, as well as flexibility and the ability to move with ease.
